Sending a letter to my big grandad

Dear Big Grandad

Dear Big Grandad, I am sending this letter to you because it is ANZAC day I have some questions and statements to tell an ask you.

Thank you for going into the war you are a hero, What is it like in the war and how scared were you going to the war at the age of 20? I reckon you would have been thinking of your family while you were there at the wars.

It must have been hard training to become a commando waking up at 5:00 in the morning but how hard was it in your opinion?

Was it hard seeing people dying all around you? But the hardest thing to you is probably how did you feel about Eileen Buttle your ex started going out with someone else while you were away?

  3. Hi there Zac
Oh no poor Big Grandad, his girlfriend found someone else when he was away at war! Did he reply to your letter? You thought of some great questions for him. I can't even imagine how terrible it would be to have a son or brother go away to war, great letter.
